Very good bike

55 years old and this was my 4th bike and first Sport and/or Tourer (2002). Lots of fun, reliable, and made a 1000 mile Iron Butt (with use of an Air Hawk for the last 500 miles) Great range, decent mpg. Buzz was no problem after the first valve adjustment at 500 miles. Good handling and very good rain protection behind the wind screen and fairing. Added a laminar lip to the wind screen and quieted the wind noise signifiantly. Wife enjoyed the bike for 2 up riding. Wheelied in 1st gear with 'roll on'. Above 4000 rpm acceleration was impressive. Even more impressive after 7000. Better acceleration than an RT1100 but slower top end (it was still plenty fast) Front end would "hunt" above 120, but rock solid up to that point. Easily cruise all day at 80-90. Paint job was nice, but there was some "orange peel" from the factory on the front wheel fairing and right rear fairing. Hard bags worked well, but bike looked ugly after removal and "antlers" were still on. Antlers were easy enough to remove, but a small hassle none the less. Tremendous value considering price paid.
